The first-in engine companies stretched 1 3/4 inch hose lines for an interior attack while Ladder Co. 2 and Rescue Co. 1 made an interior search but came up negative.

The fire was located in the second floor front and was quickly extinguished.

Camden firefighters are now faced with possible layoffs and possible station closures.  Almost daily two or three companies are placed out of service due to manpower shortage.
