This incident occurred on New Years eve when a vehicle failed to halt at a stop sign, entering the intersection in front of a vehicle travelling at 100 kmph.

This incident occurred on New Years eve when a vehicle failed to halt at a stop sign, entering the intersection in front of a vehicle travelling at 100 kmph.

Two cars collided causing approx 1 m of intrusion into the passanger side of one car, critically injuring both driver & passanger and trapping the two occupants, while causing serious injuries to the driver of the second car.

Ambulance crews from Rural Ambulance Victoria - Colac & Camperdown stations as well as local rescue unit from Colac attended cutting both patients out within 1/2 an hour of arrival.

Two patients were air lifted by Helimed One to the closest Trauma centre 150 km away still in critical condition, and the third taken to a level 2 hospital via road 75 km away.
