Firefighters from all 4 volunteer fire companies of Upper Township in Cape May County, N.J. (Strathmere, Marmora, Seaville, and Tuckahoe ) as well as firefighters from Ocean City, Sea Isle City, and Ocean View responded about 4 a.m. on December 26 to 212 Vincent Road in Strathmere for a well involved structure fire that involved several single family homes.
The homes were vacant at the time and were located along the water front to which high winds blowing in from the bay contributed to the spread of the fire.
The Cape May County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
