South Carolina House Gutted by Fire

First arriving units found a single family dwelling with heavy fire involvement. SL-1 Chief Sam Brockington had command. Engine 331 Camp Branch was first in and began the initial fire attack. Water supply was obtained through dumptank operations with a fill site set up at a pond about 1.5 miles away.

Fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes using three 1 3/4 handlines.

SLFD responded with 35 firefighters, four engines, two tankers, and one rescue. Clarendon County Fire Department was automatic aid and responded with one engine and five firefighters. Williamsburg County EMS & Sherrif Dept. were also on scene. No injuries and nobody was at home at the time of the fire.
