On January 6, 2005 the main ski lodge at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, which was built in 1950, was destroyed.
The lodge was 3/4 involved when the first engine company arrived at scene. It took six engine companies and three water tenders from the CDF/Tuolumne County Fire Department to contain the fire.
The building was built in 1950.
The fire went to a second alarm. Firefighters dealt with snowy conditions and several propane tanks as exposures.
The fire was possibly caused by an electrical problem and is currently under investigation.
