Firefighters Battle Denville, New Jersey Gas Station Fire

On January 12, 2005 Denville firefighters responded to 133 Route 46 for a structure fire at the Sunoco gas station.

On January 12, 2005 Denville firefighters responded to 133 Route 46 for a structure fire at the Sunoco gas station.

Upon their arrival, they found the 1 story gas station to be fully involved in fire.

Mutual aid was provided by Rockaway Boro, Rockaway Twp, Boonton, and Boonton Township.

Firefighters used a defensive attack to battle the blaze. Multiple master streams as well as a deck gun and ladderpipe were used to bring this blaze under control.

The building suffered a collapsed of the roof and the walls near collapse as well.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

Morris County Arson squad was requested to the scene to conduct an investigation. The cause of the fire is unknown.
