Wayne, Indiana Firefighters Rescue 13-Year-Old from Icey Waters

Firefighters brought the boy to the shore and then pulled the 13-year-old from the ice in exactly eight minutes from the time firefighters arrived on the scene.

On Sunday December 15th, the Wayne Township Fire Department received a call for a boy stuck in a frozen body of water on the Indianapolis westside.

Among the firefighters who responded, Firefighter Ken Feckete and Captain Todd Taylor of Ladder Company 884, braved the cold waters to rescue the victim.

Captain Todd Taylor made his way throught the ice toward the stranded boy.

Wayne Township Fire is located on the west side of Indianapolis.
