Edwardsville, Pennsylvania Firefighters Battle Winter House Fire

Dec. 10, 2002
It is believed that an extension cord may have started this fire that appears to be a total loss.

A dispatch at approx 0900 hours, Friday, December 6th, for a structure fire with confirmed entrapment sent 6 engine companies, 2 truck companies, 3 EMS units and 2 Medic units, running to save a house that had a good start prior to 911 being called.

After calling enroute and 2 engine companies calling on scene there was the intial fear that the first attack team was entrapped, but that, Thankfully turned out NOT to be true.

Also finding out that there was no entrapment of the home owners(as initially feared by First dispatch).

It is believed that an extension cord may have started this fire that appears to be a total loss.
