On Monday, 11/25/02, at 12:39 pm, Fuller Road Fire Dept. was dispatched to a residential fire at 28 Washington Ave.

Upon arrival, assistant chief Mike Romano Jr. called a second alarm due to the large volume of fire which brought in West Albany, Shaker Road, Colonie Village and Midway.

Town Mobil Air Bank was also requested to the scene to refill air bottles.

Heat from the fire also caused severe damage to the neighboring houses (look at the siding of the adjacent houses in the pictures).

There were no injuries, however, family pets including 3 cats and a dog were lost in the fire.

There is extreme damage to the back of the house. Origin at this time is still unknown.
