N.C. Crews Hit House Fire

  The Gastonia Fire Department responded to this house fire on Milton Avenue on Thursday afternoon. The first crew on scene reported heavy smoke showing from two sides of the structure. Crews from three engine companies, two ladder companies, a rescue company and two battalion chiefs contained the fire to one bedroom. There were no injuries reported and no one was at home at the time of the fire. The fire was reported by a neighbor. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Gastonia Fire Marshal's Office.
