Flemington-Raritan, NJ MVA with Entrapments

On 17 Nov 02, at 1210 hours, Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad (49 Rescue), Raritan Township Fire Co (21 Fire) and the Flemington Fire Dept (49 Fire) of Hunterdon County, NJ were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on County Rt 617 in the area of Grandin Dr. in Raritan Township.

On 17 Nov 02, at 1210 hours, Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad (49 Rescue), Raritan Township Fire Co (21 Fire) and the Flemington Fire Dept (49 Fire) of Hunterdon County, NJ were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on County Rt 617 in the area of Grandin Dr in Raritan Township.

The accident was dispatched as head on with multiple entrapments.

The first arriving unit confirmed there were 2 vehicles with 3 victims entrapped. Upon arrival of the rescue company the crew was informed that the victim in the white vehicle was critical and had to be extricated first. The crew went to work and spread the driver side door and had the victim removed in under 5 minutes.

A second team went to work on the second vehicle with 2 front seat passengers entrapped. They removed the roof and the passenger-front door to remove the passenger. A full-side removal and dash lift were done on the driver
