Fort Worth crews responded to a vacant home fire on John T. White Road on Jan. 10.
Dispatched at 8:30 p.m., they found the one-story well-involved in flames. It set back off the road and access was blocked by trees, hampering the first on companies.
They quickly went to an exterior attack using several CAFS lines. The ire was placed under control in about two hours. An extra company was called to the scene to assist crews with overhaul as unusually low temperatures.
