Mass. House Burns

  A family escaped a evening blaze on New Years in Holden, Mass. Holden units were dispatched to Hawthorne Road around 8 p.m. The found smoke coming from the two-story home. Firefighters from Princeton, Rutland, West Boylston and Worcester assisted at the scene. Several areas of the structure had to be opened to check for extension as flames worked there way through a number of voids in the house. Crews performed extensive overhaul and opening up walls. The fire was contained in about an hour.
