Hardin County, Kentucky Firefighters Take on the Police in a Charity Football Game

Approximately $3000.00 was raised to benefit the local Participants of the Special Olympics.

November 28, 2004 -- Hardin County Firefighters placed the local Police Departments in their 3rd Annual Red vs Blue football game. Money raised from the game was donated to the Special Olympics.

It was late in the 3rd quarter before the firefighters made the first score of the game. After scoring the touchdown and extra point the firefighters were able to hold the "Law Dogs" with the final Score being 7 - 0 in favor of the firefighters.

Approximately $3000.00 was raised to benefit the local Participants of the Special Olympics. Axe. the mascot from the Louisville Fire football team was on hand during the 1st half of the game to entertain the crowd.
