At about 11 p.m. on Sunday, November 28th, the driver of a moving truck pulled to the side of Northbound Interstate 95 near the Baltimore County/Howard County border, after flames appeared from near the rear of the vehicle.

The driver smartly pulled his tractor away from the trailer as motorists on the busy highway at the tail end of the holiday weekend called 911 to report the fast moving fire.

At least four engines from Baltimore County responded, knocking the bulk of the fire down in about 10 minutes. There was extensive overhaul of the contents of the moving truck and units remained on the scene for some time.

Three lanes of Interstate 95 were closed during the incident. No injuries were reported.
