Firefighers in Snohomish County's Fire District 5 had a unique ride-long last month. As crews were just starting their shift, one firefighter went to put his bunker gear on the rig and noticed a possum disappear into a fire helmet. His partner did not believe him initially, but as he went to get his camera it was obvious that he was not kidding. This was not set up and firefighters insist they didn't get the little bugger to pose. The bay door must have been open just a little to long on a previous night call. Being firefighters, his comrades of course gave the firefighter whose gear it found a bad time ... stating that his must have been the smelliest, therefore most attractive for the possum to make his home.
