Warrenton, Va. -- More than 40 firefighters from four counties responded shortly after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to a fire at Trusted Auto Care in Warrenton, Va. As firefighters were laying hose in preparation for an initial attack, a series of explosions leveled the building. No firefighters or employees of the repair shop were seriously injured.

The explosions sent debris flying, damaging nearby cars and setting telephone and electrical poles on fire. Firefighters spent the next several hours putting out the fires burning through the rubble.

A fire marshall called to the scene said it did not appear the fire was set intentionally, but that he would continue his investigation into the cause of the fire and subsequent explosions in the days ahead.
