N.J. Crews Hit Bar Blaze

The Borough of Folsom Volunteer Fire Department in Atlantic County, N.J. was dispatched to 1118 Black Horse Pike, the Horsin' Around Bar & Grill. The call was for a report of smoke in the basement of a two-story wood-frame structure with an attached 50 x 50 one-story addition on the "C" side. Crews found heavy smoke and fire in the basement with extension to the upper floors. The fire escalated, and required the response of 16 fire companies due to the lack of water.

Crews found heavy smoke and fire in the basement with extension to the upper floors. The fire escalated, and required the response of 16 fire companies due to the lack of water.

Most of the companies were part of a water tender task force, responding from Atlantic, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a fuel leak in the basement.
