Ct. Fire Crews Handle Apartment Fire

On Nov. 1 at 8:30 p.m., the Meriden, Ct. Fire Department responded to their second second-alarm fire of the day. This fire was located at 124 Sherman Ave just down the street from the quarters of Engine 4. The assignment was dispatched for a fire alarm. Crews found smoke showing, and people in the street telling them a person was trapped on the second floor. Engine 4 members rescued the occupant from the apartment that had a Collier's mansion condition.

All Meriden companies responded to the fire with mutual aid companies assisting at the scene and covering their stations.
