Late on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 22:39 hours the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched for a reported structure fire at Troutmans Do it Best Hardware Store.

The first arriving chiefs on scene reported a working structure fire and requested a Ladder & 2 Engines to set up a R.I.T Team from Pottsville.

Upon their arrival, the fire was rapidly advancing through the building so the Haven Chief requested St. Clairs Tower Ladder and the R.I.T Team from Frackville because Pottsville's engines were put in service for fire attack.

Also there were reports of possible low hydrant pressure so the Tanker Task Force was activated and was later on released when the hydrants were found to be operating fine.

Rescue 63 was also dispatched from Pottsville to assist with evacuation. This was due to a large propane tank that was located in the rear of the structure. Pesticides were also thought to be released into the air. Later, nothing was found with air monitors.

Rescue 63 was also utilized to fill S.C.B.A. and to provide additional R.I.T members.
