Gardener, Massachusetts Firefighters Battle Second Multi-Alarm Residential Structure Fire in Two Days

On Sunday November 26, 2004 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Gardner Fire responded to a reported structure fire on Nichols Street.

On Sunday November 26, 2004 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Gardner Fire responded to a reported structure fire on Nichols Street. This location is almost within sight of Fire Headquarters.

On arrival, firefighters found a three story residential fully involved and with extension to the residential structure to the right.

The fire rapidly went to five alarms. This was the second night in a row that a multiple alarm fire hit the city. Firefighters had battled a six alarm residential structure fire the night before.

Mutual aid companies responded from as far as twenty miles away.
