N.Y. Crews Extricate Victim from Wreck

On Oct. 9, Rush, N.Y. crews were dispatched to a crash on I-390.

Asst. Chief Anderson reported a person trapped with serious injuries. Crews determined a Buick Century operated by an 82-year-old female westbound drove under the eastbound empty tractor-trailer driven by a 73-year-old man.

He attempting to pull into a farm on south side of road. He was swinging wide, and unable to get trailer back into his lane before the car struck the rig.

Rush FD Rescue crews extricated the driver, and turned her over to Henrietta Ambulance ALS. She said she was blinded by headlights of tractor and did not see the trailer.
