Iowa Fire Crews Knock Down Residential Garage, Attic Blaze

Early Saturday morning, October 30, 2004, just after midnight, Adel Fire Department (Dallas Center, Iowa) was paged for a structure fire with a lot of fire showing from a detached garage. When Adel Police arrived on scene, they reported a fully engulfed garage with extension to the house, driven by winds gusting to 45 MPH.

Adel Fire immediately requested mutual aid from Redfield and Dallas Center Fire Departments. Adel quickly extinguished the garage fire to prevent extension to the neighbor
