Firefighters Knock Down Stubborn Auto Parts Store Blaze in Peotone, Illinois

On Sunday, October 17, 2004, Peotone, Illinois Fire Protection District responded to a blaze at an auto parts store with an apartment above.

Approximately 70 firefighters were on scene from 15 area departments battling the stubborn 2-11 alarm fire.

Firefighters faced many challenges including the age of the building, circa approximately 1892.

No injuries occurred from this extra alarm fire.
