July 22, 2009
Quint 1 and Engine 4 of the Manchester, Ct Fire Rescue EMS Dept. responded to the area of 331 Bush Hill Rd on July 4 at 1:44 p.m. for a crash. Dispatchers advised the vehicle that had struck a pole was on fire. The driver who was not injured was out of vehicle. They were unable to start extinguishing the fire until the power company cut power to the downed wires. Once that happened, foam had to be used as the line from the gas tank had burned away and gasoline was burning.
