At around 1:30 PM, HVFD was dispatched to an accident and possible person pinned at the intersection of St. Rd. 3 And Lima Roads south of Huntertown, Indiana.

Emergency 95 arrived on scene soon after and found a small SUV had rear ended a semi. E95 confirmed that the single occupant of the SUV was pinned and due to the time of day, called for Rescue 68 from Washington Township VFD for man power.

Assistant Chief Pat Feely took incident command.

Rescue 98 arrived and began extrication operations. The patient was removed from the vehicle in under 12 minuets and was air lifted in serious condition to Parkview Hospital by Parkview Samaritan 1.
