Rochester firefighters worked for 45 minutes to free a woman who was trapped after her car crashed into the St. Ambrose Church of the Peace of Christ Catholic Parish on Empire Boulevard on Saturday morning.
The car jumped the curb and took out a utlility pole before slamming into the back of the church. The driver's door was close to the building.
Crews worked for close to 45 minutes to free the woman, who suffered serious injuries. An ambulance from Rural/Metro transported her to the hospital.
