Pa. Bravest Respond to Runaway Dump Truck MVA

Brownsville Fire Company #1 was activated for a three vehicle MVA with one vehicle rolled over into a house and possible entrapment right next to our fire station.

On Friday August 27, 2004 Brownsville Fire Company #1, Fayette County Station 5, in Brownsville Pennsylvania was activated for a three vehicle MVA with one vehicle rolled over into a house and possible entrapment on Market Street in Brownsville right next to our fire station. The initial dispatch was for Station 5 Rescue and Station 6 Engine. Also dispatched were Station 21 Engine and Station 34 Rescue. Upon arrival on scene Station 5 Assistant Chief assumed command. 5 AC notified Fayette County 911 there was negative entrapment and cancelled Station 34 Rescue.

A tri-axel dump truck heading west bound on Rt. 40 apparently lost control crossed over the median both east bound lanes of Rt. 40 collided with a parked Ford Contour pushing it into the owners
