One Air-Lifted After Truck Crashes Into Texas House

The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the 17200 block of Logenbaugh in Northwest Harris County, Texas.

On Aug.13,2004 at around 1:00pm Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the 17200 block of Logenbaugh in Northwest Harris County, Texas.

District Chief #1 and EMS Supervisor#33 arrived and found a truck and car collision with a truck that had left the roadway and crashed into a house and a detached garage. District#1 assumed command and requested LifeFlight for the driver of the car who reportedly was ejected from the vehicle.

The truck involved in the accident slammed into the house after the driver lost control causing major structural damage to the house.

Cy-Fair Engine 8 and 11 set up a landing zone in a residential area for LifeFlight.

Five patients were transported by ground to a local hospital and one patient was air lifted by LifeFlight to a level one trauma center in downtown Houston,Tx.

The accident is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
