Crews worked for over an hour to bring the fire under control.

On April 22 at approximately 11:50 a.m., companies from the 8th Battalion responded to the report of a dwelling fire in the area of McDougall and Lawley.

Engine 35 reported smoke showing and they were stretching. While enroute, C5 requested Central Office dispatch a 4th Engine for RIT. Engine 40 was dispatched as the RIT Engine.

The crew made an aggressive interior attack but was unable access the upper floor due the structural instability.

Ladder 30's aerial was put into operation and crews set up for water tower operations. A 1 3/4-inch hose line was stretched up the tower and crews were able to knock the fire with it.

Crews worked for over an hour to bring the fire under control.
