Pennsylvania Firefighters Respond to Building Fire

The blaze was ruled accidental

EPHRATA BOROUGH, PA -- On Tuesday March 3, around 10 p.m. the crew of Engine 15-1 advised communications of a reported CO alarm in the 300 Block of East Fulton Street in Ephrata Borough.

Communications then advised them of a building on fire in the 300 Block of East Main Street between East Fulton Street and South Maple Street in the borough. They transmitted the box alarm.

The crew advised a large garage with heavy fire showing. Engine 15-1's crew deployed multiple lines and started a defensive attack on the fire as Chief 15 took the command. He later requested additional units to the scene as heavy fire over took the garage.

Personnel from Companies 15, 16, 12 along with EMS from 112 worked the incident for over one hour. One person was transported to ECH for check-up.

The fire has been ruled an accident by the police department as people working in the garage sparked the late night fire.
