In the City of Newport Beach California, Newport Beach Truck 63 and Costa Mesa Heavy Rescue Squad 85 worked to remove a single victim from a late night freeway traffic accident. The only vehicle involved was a full size pick-up truck that hit the guardrail and rolled over.
The driver side of the pick-up truck struck the freeway sign pole directly on the driver side compartment wrapping the pick-up truck around the pole. Both Newport Beach Truck 63 and Costa Mesa Heavy Rescue Squad 85 shored the vehicle and us their Hurst rescue tool to remove the patient whom was pronounced dead on scene.
