Massachusetts Firefighters Respond to High-Speed Wreck

The driver was ejected after his vehicle crashed into a wall while going 100 mph.

LEOMINSTER --

A motorist who fire officials say was driving more than 100 mph through a central Massachusetts neighborhood was injured Tuesday after his sport utility vehicle crashed into a wall.

The crash happened Tuesday morning in Leominster near the intersection of Route 12 and Priest Street.

Fire officials at the scene said the driver was going more than 100 mph when he lost control, hit a wall and was ejected. The driver was flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

The crash is under investigation.
