Firefighters Respond to Evening Apartment Home Blaze in Vermont

Hartford, Vermont Emergency Services was dispatched for a reported fire in a laundry room of a White River Junction two-story wood frame apartment home at 9:18 PM on August 11, 2004.

Hartford, Vermont Emergency Services was dispatched for a reported fire in a laundry room of a White River Junction two-story wood frame apartment home at 9:18 PM on August 11, 2004. Dispatch advised that occupants may still be in the building.

Upon arrival, Engine 3 found heavy fire coming from side 1 of the first floor main entrance. All occupants were already out of the building.

The fire was contained to two rooms with minor extention into three adjoining apartments in the balloon frame building. The fire was extinguished with one 1-3/4 handline.

Ten residents were displaced as a result of the fire. There were no reported injuries.

Lebanon, New Hampshire firefighters also assisted at the scene.
