Tennessee Firefighters Battle House Fire

Firefighters responded to a house fire on August 9, 2004 at approximately 10:45 AM.

Firefighters responded to a house fire on August 9, 2004 at approximately 10:45 AM.

The fire was fought by the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department. Chattanooga Hamilton County Rescue was on scene for rehab, and Hamilton County EMS was also on the scene to provide medical assistance if needed.

Firefighter Jasmine Land is pictured in one of the pictures holding a small kitten that was rescued from the fire by firefighters.

There was no one at home at the time the fire occurred. The house is considered a total loss.

There were no injuries.

Tri-Community Volunteer FD provides fire protection for a large area north and east of Chattanooga, Tennessee. They operate from four stations.
