Ocala Fire Rescue crews tackled an early-morning fire in a mobile home on Sunday.

Crews were dispatched to the Wagon Wheel mobile home park at 4:02 a.m. and arrived two minutes later to find fire through the roof of the single-wide structure with an attached carport.

An interior attack was initiated using a 1 3/4-inch hoseline to perform a primary search. Additional hoselines were brought to the structure to control the flames.

The incident was under control within 20 minutes. Crews kept the flames from spreading to adjacent mobile homes.

A total of 16 personnel, operating three engines, a squad and a rescue responded, along with a battalion chief and safety officer.

The owner was not home when the fire broke out and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
