New Jersey Firefighters Respond to Blaze

The fire is under investigation.

On Dec. 3, Pennsauken, N.J. units were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 6342 Highland Ave at 7:50 p.m.

Battalion 11-6 reported a single-family, wood frame dwelling with heavy fire showing division B. The all hands was sounded on arrival.

ALS and BLS units were added for a juvenile possibly trapped. The reports were confirmed to be negative. Crews went in to operation with multiple hand lines before being forced out of the dwelling due to conditions. Defensive operations were used as a Ladder Pipe, Deck gun and multiple hand lines were placed in operation to knock down the fire and protect the exposure.

No injures were reported on the fire ground. The Camden County Fire Marshals Office and Pennsauken Fire Department have the fire under investigation.
