The Keene Volunteer Fire Department responded a car fire at 23:58 Monday July 26, 2004.

An Infinity sports car traveling at a high rate of speed lost control on a gradual curve on a Farm to Market Road in Johnson County, Texas.

The vehicle left the road, went down an embankment hitting a concrete drainage culvert which caused the car to go airborne for over 100 feet. It hit the ground and flipped end over end.

The driver was able to climb out of the vehicle just prior to it becoming engulfed in flames. The car was only three weeks off the showroom floor.

A Texas State Trooper was on the scene to investigate the accident.
