Feb. 29, 2008
Crash was believed to be caused by poor road conditions.

On February 9, crews from the Fallowfield Township Fire Company of Washington County, Penn. responded to a one vehicle accident with one trapped with injuries and a utility pole sheared.

Crews used the "Genesis Rescue System" to extricate the victim in about six minutes.

Due to the damage of the driver's door a "Two Door Rip and Blitz" maneuver was performed to gain the best access to the victim for EMS crews. Once the patient was extricated she was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The accident was believed to be caused by poor road conditions due to an early morning snow fall. Other units on scene included Mon Valley EMS, Bentworth EMS, and Pennsylvania State Police.
