Fire extended to the home's attic

On Jan. 27, firefighters in Detroit Mich. transmitted a Box Alarm for a dwelling fire at 3402 Sheridan Rd.

Upon arrival, Ladder 10 reported a two-and-a-half story dwelling fire going throughout.

Firefighters were advised that an occupant could still be inside the home and conducted forcible entry. Members of Engines 18,9,23 and Squad 3 conducted an aggressive interior attack while members of Ladder 10 opened the roof.

Fire extended to the attic before it was bought under control. No victims were ever found inside and the arson squad was called to the scene for an investigation.
