Warehouse Blaze Battled in California

Flames shot a hundred feet through the roof destroying the "Alexander and Willis" office furniture restoration business.

Los Angeles County firefighters battled a second alarm blaze that destroyed a warehouse on the 400 block of Alondra Boulevard in Carson.

Firefighters first on scene reported the one-story commercial well charged with smoke with heavy smoke showing from the rear. That smoke turned into heavy fire.

Flames shot a hundred feet through the roof destroying the "Alexander and Willis" office furniture restoration business.

Firefighters went to master streams bringing the fire under control in 90 minutes, protecting exposures on both sides.

Arson units are investigating due to suspicious circumstances on the property. Firefighters reported a truck had crashed trough the gates of the complex, destroying furniture before the fire started. The building was a total loss.

There were no injuries.
