Red Bank, Tennesee Firefighters Extricate One in Motor Vehicle Accident

Around 5:15 PM on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, traffic in the 3800 block of Dayton Blvd was shut down due to an accident involving two pickup trucks that collided head on. One driver was trapped, and two adults and two children were injured.

Around 5:15 PM on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, traffic in the 3800 block of Dayton Blvd was shut down due to an accident involving two pickup trucks that collided head on. One driver was trapped, and two adults and two children were injured.

The City of Red Bank Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of the collision, and upon arrival immediately started extricating the trapped driver of a small white Ford pickup truck.

Due to extensive training and hard work, Red Bank Firefighters were able to perform the complex extrication within seven minutes from the time they arrived on the scene. Several witnesses at the scene even commented on the great job.

Paramedics with Hamilton County EMS transported all the patients, with a wide variety of injuries. The worst injury was the critically injured man that had been extricated. He was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
