At 8:37 AM on July 21, 2004, Engine 3, Rescue Pumper 8 and Ladder 2 were dispatched to 247 East 18th Street in the City of Erie, Pennsylvania.

At 8:37 AM on July 21, 2004, Engine 3, Rescue Pumper 8 and Ladder 2 were dispatched to 247 East 18th Street in the City of Erie, Pennsylvania.

They arrived at 8:40 AM and found a large trash container truck into a assisted living center.

The driver and one resident were taken to local hospitals. Both patients were class 3.

The building sustained heavy damage to sector 1-4. Building inspectors were enroute to determine if demolition will be required.
