Houston Firefighters Battle Dwelling Blaze

No one was home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters in Houston, Texas responded to a late afternoon fire on August 23. Crews from engines 25, 18 and 17 reported, as well as Tower 18, Ladder 7 and District Chief 8.

The fire was in an occupied residence, but no one was home at the time. There were multiple exposure problems on all sides of the house. However, the fire was contained to the original structure and there was minimal fire damage to the exteriors of the exposures.

Later, firefighters from other engines provided extra manpower.
