New Jersey Crews Tackle House Fire

April 1, 2008
All occupants escaped without harm.

On March 22 at 2:38 a.m., a dwelling fire was reported in Audubon.

Dispatchers in the 9-1-1 center received a call from the resident at 188 Carlisle Road reporting the house was on fire.

First arriving firefighters found heavy fire conditions upon arrival. Command struck the all hands on arrival.

Initial reports were received of possible people trapped. However, police confirmed all occupants were accounted for.

Crews entered the dwelling for an interior attack but were forced out around the 10 minute mark due to heavy fire conditions.

Firefighters placed several hand lines in operation as well as the Quint's master stream.

Crews remained in defensive operations as the fire was brought under control in about an hour.

No injuries were reported on the fire ground.
