Texas Firefighters Handle House Fire

The response included four engines, one truck, and a battalion chief.

Fort Worth firefighters responded to a fully involved house fire on Tuesday, July 17.

The first firefighters also reported the house next door could pose an exposure problem. The engine crew pulled a two-inch line and began protecting the exposure while others established additional lines and a water source.

There was an apparent delay in calling 911 as a resident told fire investigators that he attempted to fight the fire with a garden house for several minutes. That delay allowed the fire to become well established.

The response included four engines, one truck, and a battalion chief. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The rental property was reportedly the home to three adults and 10 children.
