Maryland Firefighters Extinguish Car Fire

Firefighters said smoke was coming from under the seats.

On Friday July 6, firefighters in Leonardtown responded to a vehicle fire. They arrived at Point Lookout Rd, in the area of Kimberly Lane to find the vehicle smoking from under the seats.

Chief 1A responded to the scene and advised he had a working vehicle fire. Engine 10 responded with six personnel and upon arrival pulled a crosslay. Crews extinguished the fire in the car as well as flames that had extended into the wooded area adjacent to the vehicle.
