Penn. Crews Respond to Vehicle Accident

As crews were stabilizing the vehicles, EMS crews were tending to patient care.

On June 2nd at 6pm, the West Ridge Fire Department along with Millcreek Paramedics were dispatched to West 38th & Lancaster for a vehicle accident. Fire Police 1 arrived on location and reported 3 vehicles with 1 of the vehicles on top of another. Chief 460 arrived on location and established West 38th Street Command.

While en route, Engine 17 was advised upon their arrival that the vehicle stabilization jacks were to be put into service along with a 1 3/4" attack line. As crews were stabilizing the vehicles, EMS crews were tending to patient care. 2 people were still in one of the vehicles and were able to self extricate themselves once the vehicles were stabilized.

Crews cleared the scene about 45 minutes later. Fire Police handled traffic control and Millcreek Township Police are investigating.
