Florida Crews Respond to Suspicious Blaze

Nov. 26, 2008
There was no one living in the home at the time of the blaze

Just before 7 p.m. on Monday Nov. 24, firefighters from the City of Casselberry, City of Winter Springs, and Seminole County in Florida responded to a fully involved house fire.

Firefighters could see flames prior to arriving on scene. Initial units pulled several 2 and-a-half inch lines, but their efforts were hampered by an inadequate water supply. Water was shuttled from pumpers until a water supply was established after police closed down a busy four lane road.

The wood frame building, located near the intersection of Murphy Rd and Seminola Blvd., was a total loss. Investigators are calling the blaze suspicious since there was no one living in the house and electricity was shut off.
