New Jersey Crews Respond to Two-Alarm Blaze

Cause of the blaze is under investigation

On Nov. 2, a box was dispatched in Camden, N.J. for a building fire. Engine 1, Engine 6, Engine 8, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 4 were dispatched on the box.

The crew of Engine 1 reported heavy fire showing from the second floor.

Battalion 1 reported a two-story end-of-the-row with heavy fire showing from the second floor of a vacant and boarded building, striking the all hands. Battalion 2 was added on the box.

Firefighters placed multiple master streams in operation while crews from the ladder companies set up ladder pipes.

The fire spread to an attached exposure.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the displaced occupants from the exposure dwelling.

The Camden City Fire Marshals' Office has the fire under investigation.
